Specifically: An auction where Alex buys most of his stock while I head of to the cafe for a coffee and the worlds best sausage sandwich!
When you are a moho lifer as wot I are it can be easy to get sucked into a lifestyle of crappy food. This is especially the case when stocks are running low and there is nowhere suitable to purhases tasty and healthy comestibles (are there such things?). At times like these it's tempting to avail yourself of the services of a nearby transport cafe, knocking up something from what you can fish out of the back of a cupboard (recall the tin foil and gravy when I was moving out of my house) or scrabbling around in the fridge for something you can throw together - garden peas and custard, dried miushroom (just the one) with whelks or beef curry surprise (the surprise being that theres no beef left).
But there are times when it's OK to make the odd exception...
Went to the auction at Clitherore with Alex against my better judgement because I have loads to do. First glance - plentyof stuff available this time - unlike last week which was poor. Definately lots of steampunk stuff - or at least stuff that woull appear to steampunks e.g. Victorian artefacts like pottery, cutlery, ornate clocks and so on. I intended to bid on a few items but in the end either chose not to or wasn't quick enough.Alex did well though and spent more than he's ever done there - taking home boxes and boxes of stuff. He should do well this week and make a decent profit.
Decided it was time I hauled ass and made more of an effort to move my stuff out of Alex's and into the moho. Also to get anything from inside the moho that's making the place look untidy into the garage section at Hymie's rear - specifically the steampunk stock. I don't want any of that inside the interior - I remember what I did to my previous house.Besides I want to live in a home not a garden shed. Thats one of the down sides to living in a moho - in a house you muck up one room and the messs is confined to that room. Do the same in a moho and you have mucked up every room in the place. Tidyness is essential1
